🎉 Ding Liren vs Gukesh – World Chess Championship, Game 3

Gukesh strikes back! 🔥 I’ve read several opinions from different media about today’s game, and there are some interesting differences in perspective. For instance, one headline stated, “Gukesh outplayed Ding and equalized”—an undoubtedly colorful take. However, in my view, the reality is a bit more nuanced.

In the game, Ding reacted brilliantly to the preparation and soon gained the upper hand.

The turning point came from a major oversight, without which the score could easily have been 2.5-0.5 in Ding’s favor. Of course, such mistakes are part of the drama of chess, but a top player in their prime (or even Ding himself without this critical error) would likely have turned this game into a very different result.

There’s no denying that Gukesh is a formidable fighter and made the most of his chances beautifully! 😊
